She has helped
numerous adults, children, and families through difficulties in marital
relationships, anxiety, depression, separation and divorce, grief, trauma,
and addictions. She has worked
with children with attachment concerns, exposure to trauma and domestic
violence, ADHD, anxiety, autism/aspergers, ODD, OCD, conduct disorder,
phobias, school refusal, anger management and behavioural concerns.
She specializes in providing
adoption competent counselling services to adoptive parents and
adoptees.
Lorraine is passionate about her work in Adoption and Family Therapy.
Her goal is to help individuals and families attain more joy in
their lives and overcome whatever difficulties they encounter.
Whether it is related to mental health issues, grief, trauma,
marital discord, infertility or addictions, Lorraine has helped numerous
clients through complex and multi-layered situations.
Lorraine has a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid
Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of
Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
She is an active member of numerous associations including:
the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the Ontario
Association of Private Adoption Practitioners, the Adoption Council of
Ontario, and the North American Council on Adoptable Children.
